The yoga of Tibet with John Gordon Moore
This workshop is appropriate for practitioners of meditation as well as the physical yogas. The distinctive movements of Tibetan yoga arose over ten centuries ago as the direct result of deep meditation practices by Tibetan yogic adepts. Tsa Lung Trul Khor, or the Magical Movements of Channels and Breath, enable one to enter all three doors of body, energy, breath and mind through a single practice. It offers a powerful and skillful means to clear the obstacles to open awareness and clarity. Historically taught and practiced only in remote Himalayan caves and monasteries, these magical movements are now being taught to serious western students.
John Gordon Moore has been practicing yoga and meditation since 1979, and teaching since 1987. He has studied with many Tibetan and Indian yoga masters. In 1999 he met his root teacher Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and began studying the Tibetan Yogas of Tsa Lung and Trul Khor. He completed the Trul Khor training in 2014 and was asked by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche to organize Tibetan Bon Yoga events in North Carolina. He teaches both Hatha and Tibetan yoga in Durham, NC.
